Cheez Doodles (called Cheesy Snacks in the TV series) are a cheddar cheese-flavored corn puff that is produced by Wise Foods™. They are similar to Cheetos, both being puffy, crunchy, and made of real cheese.

They are Nate Wright's favorite snack food by far. The servings are called doodles, and there are 6.5 doodles in a serving. They are also Lincoln Pierce's favorite junk food. Marty Wright once made Nate go on a Cheez Doodle diet, which drove him completely nuts. Nate is very particular about Cheez Doodles and will not eat any other cheese-flavored corn puffs. He actually dressed up as one for Halloween, and so did Angie. Francis thought he was a hot dog.

Poems[]

Nate Wright has written at least 5 different poems on Cheez Doodles and probably has written many more. Here are the poems:

  1. Ode to a Cheez Doodle on March 28, 1997 (Comic Strip Version)
  2. Haiku (About Cheez Doodles) on October 7, 2002 (Comic Strip Version)
  3. Limerick (About Cheez Doodles) on page 95 of Big Nate In a Class by Himself (In the novels)
  4. Haiku (About Cheez Doodles) on page 95 of Big Nate In a Class by Himself (Novel Version)
  5. Ode to a Cheez Doodle on page 95 of Big Nate In a Class by Himself (Novel Version)
  6. He wrote two poems about Cheez Doodles
"I search the grocery store in haste. My goal: a cheesy, crunchy taste. I find it, deep in aisle nine, For just a dollar thirty-nine! A bag of doodles made of cheese, My appetite, a sweet disease. My friends and teachers tell me that, I'm eating saturated fat. But they know not how satisfied I feel while munching doodles fried. I savor each bright orange curl, Until it seems I just might hurl, Their praises I will always sing. Cheez Doodles, they're my everything."
―Nate Wright, reciting the Comic strip version of "Ode to a Cheez Doodle" on March 28, 1997
"You have Cheez Doodles. Orange, Delicious, Crunchy. Give me one right now."
―Nate Wright to Teddy on October 7, 2002 (Comic Strip version of Haiku (About Cheez Doodles))
"I have feasted on all sorts of noodles, I have tried an assortment of strudels. Of the foods that I've eaten, Only one can't be beaten: An extra large bag of Cheez Doodles"
―Nate Wright from page 95 of Big Nate In a Class by Himself.
"You have Cheez Doodles. Fresh. Crunchy. Puffalicious. Give me one right now."
―Nate Wright from page 95 of Big Nate In a Class by Himself (The novel version of Haiku (About Cheez Doodles)).

"I search the grocery store in haste, To find that sweet lip-smacking taste. And there it is, in aisle nine. It's just a dollar thirty-nine. A bag of doodles most delicious, Check the label: They're nutritious! And do you know how satisfied, I feel while munching doodles fried? I savor each bright orange curl, Until it seems I just might hurl. Their praises I will always sing. Cheez Doodles are my everything."
―Nate Wright from page 95 of Big Nate In a Class by Himself (The novel version of "Ode to a Cheez Doodle").

Trivia[]
